The planned event involves planting of 2000 seedlings of both indigenous and exotic trees. Added will be herbs and spices medicinal plants. The venue is at Kariandusi farm in Gilgil, Nakuru County. This tree planting project will continue is facilitated by Sr. Francisca and Sr. Oddila Kisingu on behalf of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters Nairobi.

On Sunday, May 22, Pope Francis will inaugurate the Laudato Si’ Week at the Sunday Angelus prayer from St. Peter’s Square in Rome.
All are welcome to the attend this year’s Laudato Si’ Mass, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Chicago, Care for Creation Ministry, to celebrate the 7th anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical on the care for our common home. Fr. Richard Fragomeni will be the presider. A reception will follow the Mass.
