Empowering ECO-mmunity, Embracing the Poor

Living Laudato Si’ Philippines in collaboration with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila’s Ecology Ministry is holding a whole-day event, which plans to involve the suffragan dioceses to showcase their responsiveness to the cries of the poor.

During the event, we will celebrate the Holy Mass (to be live streamed online) at the Metropolitan-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, also known as the Manila Cathedral. Then, the induction of Empowering ECO-mmunity program at the Plaza Roma grounds. Each invited community shall have the options to showcase their activities or programs to respond to the cry of the poor and integral ecology – either by an exhibit or a testimonial. Sectors represented by the community correspond to the seven sectors of Laudato Si’ Action Platform.

This is a whole day, hybrid event which will be observed through a celebration of the Holy Mass and an exhibit on Laudato Si’ and other environmental causes at the Manila Cathedral. To accommodate people who cannot attend the physical activities, an online mass is
planned to serve as a culminating activity of the day.
