Ecological Conversion and Footprint Reduction.

Being new in my Parish, Holy Family Catholic Church, Illah, Nigeria, today at the Sunday mass I addressed the congregation on Laudato Si Movement and it’s activities.
I talked about the need for individual and collective ecological conversion by reducing the use of non degradable materials,
Planting of trees,
Greening of their compounds by having gardens,
Recycling of degradable materials for manure and non degradable materials for other uses,
During the week, we hope to plant a tree in the church compound to mark the Laudato Si Week,
In my new community there is a garden not doing well due to poor soil, so I have been putting manure,
And I will continue to conscientize people on the care for creation.
