Breathing in, Breathing Out – What is Happening to Earth, Our Mother
May 25 @ 7:30 am - 8:30 amFree
An online workshop for one hour and 10 minutes to enter musically, poetically and contemplativelyinto an experience together, interweaving brief texts from LS. The inspiration for this workshop comes from Chapter One of LS: ‘Our goal is not to amass information or to satisfy curiosity, but rather to become painfully aware, to dare to turn what is happening to the world into our own personal suffering and thus to discover what each of us can do’. There will be a deep listening, lectio divina practice in relation to a poem, ‘Shadow Line’ by Stephen Edgar the Australian poet, and after a brief break I will led a breathing compassion meditation inviting a sense of both our sorrow for Earth and its fragile beauty. There will be time to learn about the LS platform and to identify something participants are already doing, but to also commit to adding in a new action. I have quotes from LS chosen to incorporate in the session.
