Pope Francis caring for our common home

Ahead of the fifth anniversary of his groundbreaking encyclical, Pope Francis calls us to participate in Laudato Si’ Week, to be held 16-24 May.

In his video, Pope Francis urged us to care for God’s creation.

“I renew my urgent call to respond to the ecological crisis, the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor cannot continue,” Pope Francis said. “Let’s take care of creation, a gift of our good Creator God. Let’s celebrate Laudato Si’ Week together.”

Pope Francis is calling us to take the next step in our journey towards the healing of creation. He’s asking us to join together in hope as we sincerely reflect on our actions and take the ambitious next step.
